We are organized around the understanding that psychological and physical health are intertwined, and that proactive, prevention-oriented services, as well as direct treatment of acute and chronic care, through an in-home delivery system, best facilitates comprehensive, personal health development.

Chan is the CEO and sole owner. He has been in the business world working in sales and sales management for his entire career. He has experience in the healthcare industry and is passionate about helping others. He has surrounded himself with some of the best clinicians in the industry with many years of experience. He is a husband and father of three and his desire is to use his business experience to bring quality healthcare to others in the comfort and security of their own home or wherever they are most comfortable. He knows they are making a difference in people's lives and that brings joy to my heart on a daily basis.

Rosie is the Administrator handling claims, benefits and finances for the company.
Rosie Mavis is a financial professional with over 20 years of experience in the Finance field. She earned a BS in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. She spent most of her career working for large corporations and she hopes to apply her experience and skills to this organization, help grow the company, and help people along the way. She is a woman of faith, a wife, and a mother of two children. Melissa J. Bruce is our Supervisor of the group and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and acquired her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Sacred Heart University before earning her Masters of Social Work at Long Island University in 2012 with a speciality in forensic social work. Melissa received her Licensed Master of Social Work from New York in 2012. Subsequently, she earned her Clinical Social Worker licenses in 2019 for both New York and Colorado. She has worked in variety of clinical settings with clients ranging from children and adults. Melissa has extensive experience working with court involved youth and adults, mood disorders, PTSD, depression, behavioral issues, self harming/ suicidal ideation and anxiety. Melissa believes in meeting her clients where they are currently at and assisting them in accomplishing their goals in an exceptional, effective and efficient manner.

Theda has over 22 years of experience working with people with mental health and addiction issues. Theda has worked in variety of clinical settings to include inpatient, outpatient, in-home, and group homes working with individuals, groups and families. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Master of Education in Agency Counseling from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. Theda specializes in trauma, grief and loss and culturally diverse groups. She believes in diversity, equity and inclusion for all people everywhere.

Darlene has been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for 34 years. She has a BA in Psychology from Loretto Heights College Denver and a Masters of Social Work from University of Denver. She has provided individual, family, and group therapy in a variety of settings. She has done in-home therapy for dementia, Alzheimer's, trauma, grief/loss, and has done a lot of work with children, adolescents, and domestic violence. She specializes in CBT-Cognitive Processing Therapy and EMDR- Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing. She loves to garden, fish, hike, paint, knit, crochet, write, and spend time with her large family and 7 grandchildren.

Lisa has been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for 25 years. She has a BA in Psychology and Communication from the University of Colorado, Boulder and a Master’s from Colorado State University. She has worked with children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. She believes in working cooperatively with clients in meeting their goals in a caring, honest, and nonjudgemental manner. She draws from a variety of methods in order to create an individualized approach for each client and their situation. She has vast experience counseling clients with depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, substance abuse, and grief.

Kathie is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Addictions Counselor (LAC).
Kathie comes to us with more that 37 years of experience in the mental health field having worked in a variety of settings having both designed and implemented programming over the years. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Sociology in 1978 and her Masters of Education Counseling in 1982 from what was then Kearney State College and is now the University of Nebraska at Kearney. She has a passion for helping people heal in order to be their best selves. She specializes in depression, trauma, addiction issues and PTSD. She is trained in EMDR as well.

Leanna is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who earned her Master’s in Psychology at Naropa University. She has a wide range of experience helping others with a variety of issues related to mental health challenges and personal growth. She treats mood and stress disorders, trauma recovery, addictive behaviors, relationship issues and supporting life transitions. She has vast experience working with clients who have encountered difficulties with the criminal justice and child protection systems, and families who have encountered the challenges of divorce and separation, including high-conflict co-parenting. Leanna has served as a counselor for over 25 years across the Denver and Front Range area, Her approach to working with individuals, families and groups is based on a holistic and client-centered practice philosophy that encourages personal awareness, education and empowerment as the foundation in making positive and lasting change. She believes that the therapeutic relationship serves as a foundation for change, and highlights the importance of maintaining integrity, tolerance and humility for all in the process. Dominique also specializes in working with those struggling with depression, anxiety, and mood disorders. Rachel is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who came here from Atlanta, Georgia (her hometown) with her family a little over 5 years ago. She is located in our Fort Collins office. She started her journey after completing her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Psychology at Kennesaw State University and then obtained a Master of Arts degree in Community Counseling Psychology & Marriage and Family Therapy at Argosy University. With 15+ years of counseling experience as a professional counselor, she prides herself on the different modalities she has been trained to use: CBT, Gottman Therapy, Family Systems, Emotion Focused Therapy, Existential, Polyvol Theory, and Motivational interviewing.
Her areas of expertise are Couples/Relationship counseling, Intimacy, Family therapy, Individual therapy, depression, anxiety, codependency, low self-esteem/self confidence, shame based-related problems, spectrum-related issues, communication issues, anger management, ADHD, mood disorders, trauma, psychotic disorders, and general adjustment, situational and/or temporary disorder. Some of her past work has included being a Guidance Counselor for Autisim, Drug and Alcohol counselor, Community Counselor, Crisis counselor. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and kids, camping and hiking, crafting, and playing her guitar.

Patty is a Licensed Addiction Counselor in Colorado and South Carolina with more than 15 years of experience in the fields of mental and behavioral health and addictions. She earned her Bachelor of General Psychology from the University of South Carolina and her Masters of Forensic Psychology from Argosy University and has worked in inpatient, outpatient, and community treatment settings, providing individual, couples, and group therapies. Patty specializes in CBT and DBT to help individuals with severe and persistent mental illness, anxiety and mood disorders, substance-related issues, psychotic disorders, stress-related disorders including PTSD, personality disorders, and grief/loss. She has extensive experience working with marginalized populations, individuals in the criminal justice system, and those in the LGBTQIA+ community. Using a compassionate, nonjudgmental, client-centered approach, Patty believes in meeting people where they are and working collaboratively with them to help them achieve their goals and thrive in their lives.

Giving back
Since our inception, FreeedomChoice has vowed to give back a portion of our profits to the communities that we work in. Our mission has been to reach clients in-home who are in need of mental health care and a key partner that has been with us since the beginning is Denver Human Services. Lynne Ford and her team from Clinical and Support Services have been instrumental in helping FreedomChoice realize this mission.
Judi’s House came highly recommended from Lynne as an organization that is making a difference in people’s lives. We are happy to make a contribution to the great things that Jen Schwem and her team are accomplishing at Judi’s House. Judi’s House works closely with grieving children and families and we wish them many more years of making an impact in their lives.

FreedomChoice donated over 130+ pounds of turkeys to the Denver Rescue Mission as a way of trying to help them reach their goal of 15,000 turkeys by Thanksgiving. Stay safe and Happy Thanksgiving to all! Update: they did reach their goal.
Step Seven is a faith-based recovery community helping men find freedom from their addictions, and teaching them the leadership skills necessary to move forward with their lives. FreedomChoice is happy to be able to contribute to an organization in our local community of Parker, CO to help these men deal with their addiction challenges and move forward in life. Since 1987, Project C.U.R.E has been delivering life-saving medical equipment and supplies to hospitals and clinics throughout the under-resourced world. They are the world’s largest distributor of donated medical relief—touching the lives of children and families in more than 130 countries. Currently, they are the #1 distributor of donated PPE in the State of Colorado. They are doing great things during this Covid-19 pandemic distributing masks, gloves, and hand sanitizer to those in need. UMPS CARE Charities was founded through the compassion of Major League Baseball (MLB) umpires. UMPS CARE provides financial, in-kind and emotional support for America’s youth and families in need. Founded in 2006, UMPS CARE provides VIP experiences to participants from youth-based organizations and military families, visits to pediatric hospitals (complete with Build-A-Bear furry friends) and college scholarships. Our donation helped provide bears to children in hospitals in our local communities in the Denver metro area. www.umpscare.com
We donated funds to the Rock Canyon High School Cross Country and Track programs. RCHS is located in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. The funds help maintain equipment and are able to reach between 100-200 students on an annualized basis. www.rockcanyonjags.com
